In the eighth match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 6, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Quetta Gladiators by 3 wickets after a thrilling contest.


 In the match played at the National Stadium Karachi, Quetta batted first and gave a target of 199 runs to Zalmai.  Ben Cutting was dismissed for no runs.


 Sarfraz Ahmed batted brilliantly and scored 81 runs. Zahid Mahmood and Dale Steyn remained unbeaten without scoring a run.  For Peshawar, Saqib Mehmood took three wickets, Wahab Riaz two and Mohammad Imran one.


 In pursuit of the target, Peshawar Zalmi got Imam-ul-Haq 41, Kamran Akmal 3, Tom Cadmore 4, Haider Ali 50, Shoaib Malik 34, Wahab Riaz 20 and Saqib Mahmood 0.  S. Rutherford remained unbeaten on 32 runs.

 Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and elected to bowl first against Quetta Gladiators.

Quetta Gladiators' innings was started by Saeem Ayub and Delport which did not go well.


 The first wicket of Gladiators fell to 15 runs when Imam-ul-Haq was caught by Delport Muhammad Imran Khan.


 Faf Dupleix and Saeem put on a 33-run partnership for the second wicket.  Both batsmen seemed to be sitting on the crease when Saeem was run out.


 Captain Sarfraz Ahmed came to the crease on this occasion and he played an excellent innings of 81 runs with the help of 12 fours and a six while batting aggressively.
