The Sindh High Court has issued notices to the Interior Ministry, Chief Secretary Sindh and others in a case related to acid attack and open sale of acid.
A petition against acid attack and open sale of acid was heard in the Sindh High Court on Wednesday, January 13.
The petitioner told the court that crackdown should be taken against those who openly sell acid. Laws were made, but even today acid is being sold openly.
The court remarked that if the washing room cleaning acid is being sold, how can it be stopped.
Petitioner's counsel took the position that the cleaning acid sold worldwide is not so dangerous but the acid sold openly in Pakistan is dangerous.
The High Court issued notices to the Interior Ministry, Chief Secretary Sindh and others. The court also directed the parties to file their replies by February 10.
It should be noted that acid attacks occur daily in Sindh and other parts of the country.
